Weird sleep schedule lately. Staying up all day, go to bed at like 9 pm, wake up at 1 am, repeat.

Ghost Ship

Today: Went grocery shopping

Ate the first Whopper I've eaten in two years. It was kinda gross.

I haven't had a Big Mac in three years. I haven't felt its absence in my life.

Take that, Burger Barons.

*the creepy Burger King and Ronald McDonald wait in my bushes to ambush me in the morning*

Civil War
Not  much to report. Uneventful day.
It just keeps getting colder and colder. I hate winter.
I prefer spring. It feels like new promises. Yes, I can be cliche.
I really need a more interesting life. And when I mean interesting, I don't mean miserable. I once made the mistake of asking for something interesting to happen, and something bad happened. I guess bad is never boring...it's just...bad.
I go now.

Bad Night Snape

If you've seen Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix, what do you feel about how they handled the Room of Requirement?

I thought the Room of Requirement was well represented. Although I would have liked to see it in larger size and scope, and I wanted to see Hermione spaz out about the rare Defense Against the Dark Arts books that she found in the book. But I knew going into the movie that it was the longest book so far that they've had to adapt to the screen, and some smaller things would have to be omitted. Overall, I think Daniel Radcliffe did an amazing job conveying Harry's natural leadership skills. My favorites in the DA scenes were Harry, Luna and Neville.

One thing I wished they'd left in was the DA's mad scramble for cover when Umbridge discovers the Room. Blowing it open with magic and seeing the group standing there in shock was kind of anticlimactic after the whole tricking Filch and the Inquisitorial Squad montage.

Overall, I'd give that part of the film a 7 out of 10.

These LJ writing prompt questions are boring as hell.
So this is what I'm gonna do from now on:

I'm going to field questions from you guys. I'm sure you can think up way more interesting, salacious stuff to ask me.I promise I'll answer every question, no matter what it is. Ask it in the comments section, and I'll post the answers in my next entry. I'm curious to see if anyone will actually ask anything.

For those of you who are venturing out into the wilds of Black Friday, I salute you. I'm sure you'll come back in one piece...

P.S.: earthcam.com is my new favorite website.

Today, I enjoyed my newly acquired Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock.
While everyone else was scrambling to buy Rock Band, I purchased it at Target.
I highly enjoy it. I'm 2/3rds of the way through a career mode for my made-up band, Cadmium.

What character in a book can you connect with or relate to the most?

View 267 Answers

The character in a book that I can connect with and relate to the most is the character of Richard in the Alex Garland novel, the Beach.

Like him, I sometimes feel lonely and misunderstood, even among friends. I feel I am thoughtful and observant, as he is, and sensitive. I feel I am sometimes seen as outwardly goofy, as not taking things very seriously, but inside I know I am sensitive and serious.

Also like Richard, most of my mistakes stem from good intentions.

And I guess, like Richard, I have my moments of insanity. ;)

Not the most spectular thing, but I like knowing I have plenty of food in the fridge. It means I don't have to concoct some weird meal out of stuff I have hidden in the deepest recesses of my cabinets.

Girl Tree
I had a strange dream last night. I was rich and living in a big, fancy house. All the windows were floor-to-ceiling glass. The lighting was dim and I was walking around, sipping wine. I remember a lot of brown colors, and panelled wood.

Then, some wild animals started attacking the windows. They were trying to get in, break the windows down. Panthers and leopards and lions. Big, wild, ferocious cats. Their mouths were open, saliva gleaming off their long, sharp teeth, their eyes fixed on me. I could hear them growl through the glass.

I walked over  to a wall and flipped a switch. What seemed to be an electrical field crackled all around the outside of the glass. The animals fell back, shocked unconscious. Then some zookeepers came and collected them.
