Although I would have liked to see it in larger size and scope, and I wanted to see Hermione spaz out about the rare Defense Against the Dark Arts books that she found in the book. But I knew going into the movie that it was the longest book so far that they've had to adapt to the screen, and some smaller things would have to be omitted. Overall, I think Daniel Radcliffe did an amazing job conveying Harry's natural leadership skills. My favorites in the DA scenes were Harry, Luna and Neville.

One thing I wished they'd left in was the DA's mad scramble for cover when Umbridge discovers the Room. Blowing it open with magic and seeing the group standing there in shock was kind of anticlimactic after the whole tricking Filch and the Inquisitorial Squad montage.

Overall, I'd give that part of the film a 7 out of 10.

The character in a book that I can connect with and relate to the most is the character of Richard in the Alex Garland novel, the Beach.

Like him, I sometimes feel lonely and misunderstood, even among friends. I feel I am thoughtful and observant, as he is, and sensitive. I feel I am sometimes seen as outwardly goofy, as not taking things very seriously, but inside I know I am sensitive and serious.

Also like Richard, most of my mistakes stem from good intentions.

And I guess, like Richard, I have my moments of insanity. ;)

All the windows were floor-to-ceiling glass. The lighting was dim and I was walking around, sipping wine. I remember a lot of brown colors, and panelled wood.

Then, some wild animals started attacking the windows. They were trying to get in, break the windows down. Panthers and leopards and lions. Big, wild, ferocious cats. Their mouths were open, saliva gleaming off their long, sharp teeth, their eyes fixed on me. I could hear them growl through the glass.

I walked over to a wall and flipped a switch. What seemed to be an electrical field crackled all around the outside of the glass. The animals fell back, shocked unconscious. Then some zookeepers came and collected them.
